GOSHEN — Goshen Mayor Allan Kauffman announced that trash pickup by Allied Waste will be delayed another day.
Kauffman said that the continued extreme low temperature and wind chill factor affects truck hydraulics and driver safety. Monday's route was to be picked up today, but will be delayed until Wednesday. Allied will run extra trucks where possible to also chip away at the normal Tuesday route on Wednesday. Residents who are normally serviced Tuesday through Friday should put their trash out one day later than normal. As Allied Waste works to catch up, if it is not picked up on that day, it will be picked up the following day. Allied intends to be caught up by Saturday.
