THE GOSHEN NEWS
State Senator Carlin Yoder, x-y, and Representative Wes Culver, R-Goshen, announced $5.5 million in stimulus funds will be coming to Goshen through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
The funds will be used to help complete the state-mandated combined sewer overflow reduction/elimination project and the installation of a new supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system for the city water system.
Approximately $125 million in funds will be distributed to the Indiana State Revolving Fund through the recovery act. The ISRF is an existing program managed by the Indiana Finance Authority which makes loans to communities for wastewater and drinking water projects.
