Woman dead, man critical after shootings

A woman is dead and her husband is in critical condition in a hospital following shootings at their Cromwell home.

Noble County Sheriff’s Department officers said they were called to Lot 207 of the Shady Acres Mobile Home Court on C.R. 900 West at 9:15 p.m. Friday night. Officers found Kimberly Patches, 48 of that address dead from a gunshot wound. A man who lived at the address, Shane Feightner, 40, was taken to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne for treatment of a gunshot wound. According to police, he is in critical condition.

Police are investigating what occurred at the mobile home. They suspect a dispute between the couple may have occurred before the shooting.
