THE GOSHEN MIDDLE SCHOOL cheerleaders took first place in the first-ever Big 11 Conference competition held at GMS. Members of the 7th and 8th grade squads are Brooke Bechtel, Lexi Bentley, Mikayla Burkhead, Lindsey Camacho, Abigail Davis, Elkah DeVoe, Jayden Fowler, Karla Hernandez-Walton, Haylie Heeter, Daphne May, Lesly Mendoza, Ally Olson, Stephanie Palomino, Morgan Peak, Karina Pimentel, Madison Rittenhouse, Tammy Rivas, Sammi Speicher, Mikayla Sutherland, Bailey Trosper, Josie Walters and Ellie Zehr. The cheerleaders are coached by Brandi DeVoe.

Last weekend (July 12) the Goshen Parks Department held its Kid’s Try-athlon to promote childhood fitness and this week (July 18) the new bicycle trail is open to the fairgrounds in Goshen, offering residents a healthy way to get to the annual agriculture exposition.
