NEW PARIS AND Benton Township firefighters are shown at the scene of a house fire Monday near the intersection of C.R.s 42 and 142. The blaze was called in shortly before 6 p.m. New Paris Fire Chief Joe Warstler said everyone got out of the home safely and no one was injured. “A gentleman was working on his vehicle inside the garage, and he had a heater,� Warstler explained. The heater caught fire, and also the automobile. According to Warstler, the fire damage was contained to the garage and the vehicle, and there was a little smoke damage to the house.
