Donna Priest recently won a Kindle e-book reader during a grand prize drawing at Milford Public Library. The drawing took place at the conclusion of the Adult Reading Club’s winter program. The Adult Reading Club had 68 participants this year, with more than 570 books read. Participants had a weekly drawing for prizes from Jan. 2 to March 30. This year’s theme was “Groundbreaking Reads.” Each of the following people won a prize in the weekly drawing: Donna Jackson, Devin Vanlaningham, Lydia Miller, Phil Beer, Mary Spicher, Elaine Stichter, Bonnie Newman, Viv Blakeslee, Anne Troup, Linda Napier, John Weybright and Julie Gunden.

There has been discussion at West Goshen Elementary School to require mandatory student uniforms in the future. How do you feel about the prospect of mandatory student uniforms in a public school environment?

I think it’s an excellent idea that is way overdue
I think it’s a bad idea and would be restrictive for students and parents.
