130702 Duck Rescue 02.jpg

Ptl. Ray Rodriguez watches as a mother duck and her ducklings are reunited behind Maple City Chapel Tuesday. The ducklings were in front of the strip mall and getting into the parking lot where employees of nearby businesses were concerned they could be hit by a car. Ptl. Rodriguez put the ducklings in the box he is seen holding and tried to get the mom duck to get in the back of his patrol car to take to Fidler's Pond. After several failed attempts Rodriguez led the mom around the building while carrying the ducklings in the box to the back where the family was reunited.
