A donation to the Goshen Hospital and Healthcare Foundation of $400,000 was presented Wednesday at Goshen City Hall from the late Jean and Norval Poyser, of Middlebury. From left are IU Health Goshen Hospital CEO Randy Christophel, executive director of the Goshen Hospital and Healthcare Foundation; Lynette Mischel, immediate past president of the foundation; Tim Yoder, president of the foundation; Terry Hoogenboom and medical director for IU Health Goshen Hospital Center for Cancer Care Dr. Roderich Schwarz. The Poysers, who both died from cancer, Jean in 2001 and Norval in 2011 donated the money to the IU Health Goshen Hospital Center for Cancer Care to be used in cancer research.

Classes at Goshen Community Schools and St. John the Evangelist Catholic School will begin the 2014-15 school year on Thursday, Aug. 7. School corporations throughout the state have been trending toward earlier start dates the past few years. When do you think school should start?
