Reed 50th

James “Red” and Dorothy (Chupp) Reed, New Paris, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were married June 14, 1964, by Milton S. Persons at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Goshen.

They plan to celebrate the occasion with a family dinner at a later date.

Their children include Teresa (Rick) Marquart, New Paris, Toni (Doyle) Miller and Dawn (Ron) Paul, both of Goshen. They have seven grandchildren.

He retired in 1998 from Fidler Inc. and works part time at Knepp Sand & Stone, New Paris.

She worked at the Olympia Candy Kitchen in Goshen and does volunteer work at IU Health Goshen Hospital.

The Reeds attend Bethany Church of the Brethren in New Paris.

Last weekend (July 12) the Goshen Parks Department held its Kid’s Try-athlon to promote childhood fitness and this week (July 18) the new bicycle trail is open to the fairgrounds in Goshen, offering residents a healthy way to get to the annual agriculture exposition.
