Slabaugh 50th


GOSHEN — J. Lynn and Mabel (Mast) Slabaugh, Angola, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were married April 7, 1963, at Griner Mennonite Church in Middlebury by Bishop Albert Miller.

They will be honored at an anniversary open house reception April 7 from  2 to 4 p.m. at Griner Mennonite Church Hall in Middlebury.

The couple took an anniversary trip to Texas and Arizona recently and plan to travel to the Carolinas and Florida as well.

Their children include Wanda (Arlen) Gerig, Hayward, Wis., Kent (Ami) Slabaugh, Stone Lake, Wis., and James Lynn (Emily) Slabaugh II, Angola. They have eight grandchildren.

He is a semi-retired dairy farmer and she is a homemaker. The Slabaughs, originally from Nappanee, were dairy farmers in Wisconsin for more than 35 years. They recently moved to Angola.
