Gene and Sylvia (Fink) Lambright, Goshen, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
They were married Aug. 10, 1963, at Grace Brethren Church in Kittanning, Pa. by the bride’s father, the late Rev. Harry E. Fink.
They will be honored Aug. 10 at an anniversary celebration at Elkhart First Baptist Church, Bristol. A thanksgiving service will take place from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. with a reception to follow from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Family and friends are invited to attend.
The Lambrights both graduated from Grace College in Winona Lake and taught in the public schools for a number of years. In 1967, they joined the Central American Mission (now Camino Global) and served in El Salvador and Costa Rica for almost 40 years.
She was active in children’s and women’s work while hosting the Mission Guest Home.
He ministered in literature evangelism, preaching the Gospel and directing several Bible institutes in Costa Rica and El Salvador. He also began a Spanish Bible institute in 2007.
They work as missionaries in the Hispanic community in the Goshen-Elkhart area.
