Alvin and Elsie (Jones) Miller, Middlebury, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
They will be honored at an anniversary open house hosted by their children today from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Wolfe Building in Shipshewana.
They were married Aug. 27, 1963, in Shipshewana.
Their children include Jeff Miller, Middlebury, Arlyn and Sharon Miller, Shipshewana, Kristine and Michael Stutzman, Shipshewana, Joanna and Levi King, Middlebury, Linda and Jim Bontrager, Middlebury, and Heidi and Rich Stoltzfus, Shipshewana. They have 27 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He owned and operated Indiana Wood Products and Tri-County Logging and worked with his sons doing millwright services.
She worked as a secretary for Tri-County Logging and as a clerk at the Shipshewana Auction.
They are semi-retired and are owners/managers of the Davis Mercantile in Shipshewana. They are members of Fairhaven Amish-Mennonite Church and volunteer at MennoHof and the Michiana Mennonite Relief Sale.
